Hello! I am Lynne Damiano and I can't wait to connect with you! My first experience with photography was through a travel course to New Mexico in college. I had an old Pentax Spotmatic, a handful of black and white film, and a map of Santa Fe. The professor’s only instructions, “Wander the streets, get familiar with your camera, and take photos along the way.” She used the beauty and novelty of being in a new city to awaken our curiosity and creativity, and that is where my passion for photography began! 

I went on to take more courses and discover my style, studying fine arts and photography in Florence, Italy. Soon I was taking photos for friends and family, and Sail Away Photography  was born! 

The photographs I love to capture are genuine, simple and preserve the essence of that moment. Bright and true to color images retain the emotions and feeling of the day. Exploring new locations with families and guiding through both gentle poses and candid interactions is my goal. I am also a teacher and have a background in elementary education and special education, and I love animals of all kinds!

A few more of my favorite things are hiking with our two rescue dogs, traveling with my family, riding horses with my daughter, and doing anything near or on the ocean (hence my business name!). I look forward to connecting with you and creating memories that you can reflect on for years to come.
